Default Time to hug a tree and eat some granola

I had to do it. I just bought a hybrid. With gas over $4 a gallon I had to find a more economical way to get to work.

I ate granola for breakfast and hugged the tree in the front yard before I left for work in a 2006 Honda Civic hybrid and got 44mpg.

I'm still "learning" how to drive this 110hp beast.

Rest assured TT (my toyota tundra) is not going anywhere.

I will not be selling my gas eating, 4x4, snowmobile towing, truck.

Kat... what kinds of stuff breakin on the ones you seein?

I plan to take the truck on the snowy days so hopfully I will never know how bad its gonna suck in the snow.

I tell you what.... it sure was nice to experience a fill up that only cost $40 instead of $85. And its gonna be even better when my next fill up is after 500 miles instead of 290 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i gotta admit i do envy hybrid owners a lil ... especially when im fillin the tank in the hummer, 32 gallons @ 3.75 per gal .(yeah 100$-120$ to fiLL) and i only get 10-11 mpg..luckily my commute is only 9 miles each way ..

even the tundra is looking better than my H2 ..lol

I love my Tundra. I get 15-16mpg on average. The other day I saw average 17mpg for a little bit but I was driving down hill....

Gas here in Albany is 4.07/gal

I've been a truck drivin freakette for a long time, TT is my 4th truck. The tundra gets the best mpg. One even had the multidisplacement motor that would shut off cylindars, that truck got 13-14mpg. The new ecoboost Ford is lookin good to me, my friend is gettin close to 20mpg.

If I am allergic to the hybrid I might trade it and TT in for a Ford.

PS I heard if I have to replace the batteries, I can find them on ebay, a complete kit with instructions for $1000 and do it myself.
