Default Finally Race Sled for the 800 Class!

Finally bought this race sled that a friend owned and would never sell. He used to work at the local polaris dealer. Sled is already set for the 1000' and has a mechanical luber, speed track, lowered, cluthing, gearing, and other tricks. Sled runs 110-114 mph in the 1000'. This sled runs the race stock class, right between a trail stock and improve.

Those are great sleds make sure you put black slides in carbs if not already done and watch the water pump other than that they are bullet proof. If it has stock reeds v force 2's make better hp than v3's. Just my 2 cents. Joe.

Thank you for the input. I need to take a look at the reeds. I am still in AK for another month, but will be leaving the end of next month and will look. The sled only has 700 miles. Was bought brand new and set up for the 1000' then a guy bought it and put 300 miles on the trail. Was set back to a race sled. My buddy did alot of work to the motor on this also.

XCR 800 was one of the sweetest, fastest sleds ever built!!!!!! Clutching is KEY to making that sled RUN!!!!

Shane, it is such a pain dialing in clutching and gearing, thus why this sled was so appealing, it is already set up for me.

A dialed in XCR 800 is VERY VERY HARD to beat! If you need info., email me. I have a friend that used to race for4 the factory and with that sled they were unstoppable. too bad Polaris did away with the XCR800!

    Great Drag Sleds.

She might be a littley touchy (clutching wise) getting her to the line if you are running on a tree....Get a dolly and roll her there to set her right where you want before you hit the happy flapper.

Good luck..... AND HOLD ON TIGHT.......

Yeah that would be great to get that information. I would buy another clutch and try out the setups. I am still working on getting the setup book from the original owner.
